Fashion: Steal Her Style! Selena Gomez Version (Pt.1)

Hiiiii, it has come to my favorite time of the week, Fashion Wednesdays!

Today instead of reviewing an item I will be continuing the Steal Her Styles! Series with Selena Gomez!

Selena is definitely a fashion icon, and she always has been! since 2007! Her style has changed, but many people still love the way she dresses and does her makeup!

In Part 1 I will be teaching you the basics of make-up and hair, stay tuned for part 2 later tonight for similar/exact outfits!

Makeup, what you'll need:

• BB Cream or foundation
• Face Powder
• Blush
• Primer
• Natural Eye shadow
• Dark Shadow
• Brow kit
• Eye liner
• Mascara
• Lipstick (Plum, Red, Pink, or Nude, depending on outfit)

Makeup Tutorial Natural:

Naturally, when she's out, Selena doesn't use much makeup, so this is really simple.

1. Use a little bit of foundation, powder, or don't use any! Do whatever your comfortable with for your face only. Use only a lot of foundation or powder if you want to cover up any blemishes.
2. Use a rosy pink blush and apply it lightly to the apples of your cheeks.
3. Curl your eye lashes and add mascara.
4. Shape your brows however you want to, just make sure they are defined. You don't even have to use any color you may just want to brush them to keep them in place.
5. For the lips just use clear baby lips, eos, or anything similar to make you lips glossy. If you want to look a bit fancier just apply a bit of nude lipstick.

Make Up Tutorial Going Out/Awards:

1. Apply primer and foundation to cover up any blemishes.
2. Use powder over the foundation to make it more natural.
3. For your cheekbones, you can use only a little bit of bronzer to define them, since Selena doesn't use it a lot, and she has a roundish face.
4. Lightly apply a dark pink color to the apples of your cheeks.
5. For your eyes do a smoky eye look and finish it off by lining your eyes with the cat eye effect, for the bottom lashes use eye liner from the middle of your eye (where your iris should be) and line your water line from there until it connects with the flick of the top liner.
6. For lips Selena usually uses a crimson red, or has been using a plum color as well. It all depends on the outfit or dress you will be wearing.

Hair Tutorial Heatless (more time consuming, easier)

1. Shower the night before and squeeze excess water off your hair.
2. Braid Your hair while it is damp, side braid.
3. Go to sleep.
4. Wake up and take the braid off.
5. It will already be in waves, so just add some texturizing spray (optional) to give it volume and keep the waves in place.

Hair (heat, fast)

1. Curl your eyes with a wand into big bouncy curls.
2. Brush hair lightly
3. Add spray

Taa-daa!!!! It is really easy!

Fashion: Steal Her Style! Ariana Grande Version! (Pt. 1)

Hiii, today I will be posting my first post from the Steal Her Style! series. It will begin with a look from Ariana Grande. Many people love the way Ariana dresses, does her makeup, hair etc. and today I will be showing you many looks and where to get them, or clothes that are inspired by her look so that you can mix and match your own outfits!

Part one of the Ariana Grande section will be Getting the look (or a similar one) from the outfits she wore in the video for The Way.

Makeup

• Foundation
• Concealer (optional: Ariana uses)
• Translucent powder (optional)
• Bronzer (preferably Matte)
• Blush (Preferably a rosy shade)
• Eye Brow filler (kit, or brow pencil)
• Champagne and Brown Eye shadow
• Brown Eyeliner
• Eye lash Curler and Mascara
• Optional: Individual Lashes (Walmart, Ulta, etc.)
• Pink lip liner

Steps for Makeup:

1. Apply foundation in your face, any kind of foundation can be used although Ariana uses liquid foundation, you can apply this with your fingers, a brush, a sponge, or a beauty blender.
2. Take your concealer and apply it under your eyes to prevent dark circles, then, blend it in with your fingers.
3. To set everything together lightly dust translucent powder on your face (optional; Ariana doesn't use a lot of powder)
4. To get her cheekbones contour your cheeks and cheekbones with a bronzer (Ariana uses the Hoola Bronzer from Benefit. I personally have used it, I recommend it.) You may also want to dust it over the bridge of your nose, temples, and jaw.
5. Next dust blush over the apples of your cheeks, use a rosy color (Ariana uses Pink Swoon by Mac) 
6. Comb out your brows and fill in your brows (optional if you want to shape them like Ariana) She doesn't really have an arch in her brows so prevent that.
7. Now shimmer some light eye shadow on your lid (preferably champagne. I recommend the simmer champagne in the NAKED2 Palette) and then buff a dark brown color into your eye crease, then blend it together slightly.
8. Line top and bottom water lines with brown eye liner.
9. Curl your eye lashes and apply the mascara of your choice.
10. You can apply individual lashes at the end of your real eyelashes. They look more natural and give a flittery effect.
11. Fill lips with a pink lip liner for the signature Ariana Lip, if you want it to look like a lipstick then you may want to apply a coat of chapstick over the liner, since liner stays longer.

Hair

There are many ways to get the signature Ariana Grande hair this is how I style it:

*optional: the twist. Part your hair a little but before your usual parting, take a section of hair and twist it, then secure it with a hair tie. Just add it to the ponytail later. Or explained in a simple way: If you have bangs take your bangs or just a piece of hair and section it off until the end, then add it to the ponytail.

1. Apply heat protectant
2. Section off the top part of your hair to create the pony tail, use a teasing comb to brush your hair back, it helps because of the small bristles. After sectioning your hair and combing it back with the teasing comb just tie the ponytail with a headband.
3. After you're done with the pony tail curl your hair, preferably with a wand, to get the usual Ariana Grande bouncy curls and not wild curls.
4. Not all your hair needs to be curled from the top, curl some sections from the top and others from the middle, also curl them in different directions so they don't join together in the same direction to form one big curl.
5. Finish by adding a Ribbon! It is optional, but Ariana wears them All the time!

Outfit one: Black "Dress"

Guess what? If you have seen the video you probably thought Ariana was wearing a dress, she's actually wearing a sheer black tank and breezy black shorts!

Now, the exacts from the outfit in the video haven't been found and Ariana's Glam Team hasn't spilled out the details! If you want to sport the look like Ariana just look for the shorts and a tank, if you want something easier just go for the dress, no one will notice, right?

As for shoes she is wearing over the knee Christian Louboutin heeled boots, you can just sport black thigh highs with black shoes.

Fashion: Naked Flushed Palette Review

Hiii, I'm so excited for Fashion Wednesday today since I'll be reviewing one of my favorite items! I will be reviewing the Naked Flushed Palette by Urban Decay.

The Naked Flushed Palette is very helpful. Three Different, but great things, in one Palette. Naked Flushed can be found at Sephora, Macy's, or any other store that carries the Urban Decay brand. It is just $30 (for 0.49 oz.), which is a very great price for the things it offers you & the amount, some of the other NAKED palettes can go as high as $52. 

NAKED flushed gives you a bronzer, highlighter, and blush as well, which are all for your cheeks and very important attributes for makeup routines as it contours, highlights, gives your cheeks a rosy tint, and can give you a sun kissed look.

The Bronzer is very light and sheer, not to thick or pasty and it is not cakey or powdery either. It is a medium tan with orange undertones. 

The highlighter has a very champagne-y color to it, with a hint of shimmer. A small amount of it can go a very long way! If you ask me, the highlighter may also be used as an eyeshadow to use for your crease when it is combined with other colors. 

The blush is a medium kind of dark rosy pink, it also has a hint of coral and it is a matte color. It kind of has a spring, summer feel to it and it is very warm. If you are used to wearing warm colors and using gold accessories this will go great with your skin. 

NAKED flush is a very great makeup item for both natural looks and looks for a night out!

Fashion: Thigh High Socks

Helloooo, fashion day is almost over and I have a new review for you! The item I will be reviewing is something that everyone has been into lately (including moi) & I know its an weird thing to review, but we are going to talk about: socks. Thigh Highs to be precise.

Thigh highs are adorable. You can style them in many different ways and they can keep you warm in the winter when you decide to be a bit dressy. Another great thing about thigh highs are that you can basically wear them with all kinds of shoes (no socks and sandals allowed!).

Styling your thigh highs: you can wear thigh highs with almost everything, to be honest. I usually style them with a crop top (or cropped sweater) paired with a skirt, a scarf, and then the thigh highs with docs. You can also use them with dresses and shorts, like in the pictures above. I personally love pairing the socks with Dr. Martens "Docs" (like down below) although you can also use them with ankle booties, jeffrey camp bells, combat boots, knee-high boots, etc. Also, I usually use black or dark colored (if not white or cream) socks, neutral colors, I don't usually tend to wear bright green or pink and I don't think they could be styled with a lot of outfits.

(UO socks here)

I own thigh highs from Forever 21 ($5.21) and Urban Outfitters ($14.00) and I am very satisfied with both pairs, although the price range is noticeably different I noticed that the quality is different.  The Forever 21 socks are stretchier and fuzzier (they can be warmer) but if you use them multiple times lint balls start to form and them, of course you can't see them on mine since they are black, but if you have colored thigh highs you'll probably be able to notice. While Urban Outfitters is pricier, more expensive, the quality is great and it is worth it. The socks are tight enough to not slide off your leg, they are stretchy and comfortable. They're thin and even more stylish since they also sell different designs with wooden buttons and different styles. If you want thigh highs for summer UO's are perfect for both seasons.
